In Pontecesures we offer you the opportunity to visit unique spots due to their natural beauty, such as the O Pino Manso viewpoint. This tourist spot of the municipality, located in the urban area, features impressive panoramic views of the area such as the port on the Ulla River. In addition, it has a play area and other rest areas to spend a pleasant afternoon with family or friends.
Another place to enjoy nature is the viewpoint called Mirador do Galiñeiro. With an altitude of about 300 meters, it offers spectacular views of the Ulla and Sar rivers, as well as nearby towns such as Valga, another of the municipalities that make up the Mar de Santiago geo-destination. Equipped with stone benches and tables, as well as barbecue areas, it is the perfect place to spend a sunny day outdoors in Pontecesures.
The events you can’t miss this spring
Celebrate spring with a gastronomic route and an event feature the local commerce of Pontecesures. On the 19th, 20th and 21st of April, don’t miss the opportunity to try delicious gastronomic suggestions in the Spring Tapas Route. During these three days, you will be able to taste a wide variety of tapas offered by local restaurants for only €3.5o each.
In addition, on Sunday 21st, there will be a local trade stock fair, where you can find great deals and discounts on a variety of products. This will begin at 10 a.m. and will be organised in the Prazuela. From 12:00 noon, to accompany the shopping, there will be a musical performance by Broke Acoustic Covers. People who buy during this day will receive tickets for a raffle of gifts that will be held that same day at 8:00 p.m.
