Valga is a Galician municipality located in the province of Pontevedra, on the banks of the Ulla River. This municipality is famous for its eels, a food product par excellence, and for making local eau-de-view, considered among the best in Galicia. It is also the birthplace of La Bella Otero, one of the most famous singers and actresses of France’s Belle Époque.
