Initially initiated in 2010 and 2012, different occupation levels have been found ranging from around the 4th c. AD to the 18th century. The oldest elements found here include a wall, early Christian tombs and an oven that may have been used to make glass, which would make it the only one of its kind in Galicia. From the following century (5th) there are the remains of a small, rectangular chapel, which reflects the expansion of Christianity in Gallaecia.
This first chapel seems to have been destroyed by a fire around the 8th or 9th c., although it could have been partially taken down to erect a larger building that made use of its façade and sides. From the 8th to 12th centuries is the discovery of a necropolis featuring 26 stone tombs covered with slabs, ceramics, coins, etc. This would connect it with the documented existence of a convent.
