The four municipalities that make up the Mar de Santiago geo-destination, feature lights, colour, and joy at this special time of year to offer their visitors a unique Christmas experience. From the traditional artisanal nativity scene in Valga to a wide variety of activities, such as concerts, workshops ,or charity initiatives, there is something for everyone. Artisanal and charity Christmas in Valga

One of the main attractions in Valga is the impressive artisanal nativity scene, an excellent work of art created by the Amigos do Belén association that receives, every year, thousands of visitors who come only to discover its handmade pieces.

In addition, Valga’s CRA schools, in a gesture of solidarity, are organising a collection of non-perishable food and personal hygiene items until Monday, December 18. All donations will be transferred to municipality of Valga’s social services.

Catoira celebrates Christmas with music

Catoira is preparing to delight its inhabitants and visitors with a series of three concerts organized by its Municipal Music School.

On Friday the 15th, with piano, trombone, saxophone, and cello; on Saturday the 16th with trumpet, horn, flute, and music and movement; and on Tuesday 19th with clarinet, percussion, and youth band.

The municipal auditorium will be the venue for these musical performances that will make the Christmas spirit resonate in the municipality. Come and enjoy the music in a festive setting!

Pontecesures, a Christmas programme for the whole family

From December 15th to January 7th, Pontecesures comes alive with a Christmas program full of activities for all ages. Workshops, performances, and the long-awaited visit of Santa Claus throughout the municipality’s villages on December 24th are just some of the events that will make these festivities unforgettable. Immerse yourself in the magic of Christmas and participate in the activities that Pontecesures has prepared.

In addition, to say goodbye to Christmas, on January 7th, the patron saint’s day, there will be a “churro” party, enlivened by the Nueva Era Duo and many other performances throughout the morning.

Vilanova de Arousa: Charm in its decoration and a magical train journey

From Sunday, December 3rd, Vilanova de Arousa will be transformed into a magical setting with an enchanting decoration in Xardín Umbrío. Discover the decorated houses and enjoy a ride on  the tourist train, the garden’s new children’s attraction for these holidays. The programme includes music, humour, reading and, for the little ones, a children’s party on Friday 22nd featuring inflatables and face painting. Fun is guaranteed for the whole family!
